Registration Procedures for 2016
As with last year, everyone is required to register with both Hockey Victoria
(HV) and Hawthorn. Please register as soon as possible, to allow the committee
to enter the right number of teams into HV competitions.
Please note that Hawthorn Hockey Club fees remain the same as last year’s.
Details regarding registration can be found on the Registration page on the club
website: http://hawthornhockeyclub.asn.au

Parental Support

In order for our Junior Hockey club to function, we need the support of parents
to act as Team Managers, whose role it is to liaise with the team regarding game
times and location, the organisation of oranges and snakes and the submission of
team lists and match results.
Whilst the committee is very happy to help you (in particular) with the online
submission of results, we NEED your help to run your children’s teams
efficiently.

Mouthguards/Uniform

Professionally fitted by a dentist , mouthguards will be available from Hawthorn
Hockey Club again this season. The only fitting days are:

• Monday 29 February 2016 5:30pm-6:30pm; and
• Tuesday 1 March 2016 5:30pm – 6:30pm.

The cost of the mouthguard is $50 (cash only). We expect mouthguards to be
available for pickup at training on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 March 2016.
Uniform (shirts, shorts and socks) will be available for purchase from the Junior
club in March 2016. Check the training calendar on our website for specific
dates when the uniform shop will be open on your child’s training night.
The old playing shirt is still fine for playing in, but we are keen to have as many
junior hockey players as possible sporting the new uniform this year. Use the old
version for training!

If you have any questions regarding the above or any other aspect of the season
that is not answered on our website http://hawthornhockeyclub.asn.au , please
speak to a committee member at training or myself.
Our contact emails are all listed on the website under ‘Contacts’.
All the best for the 2017 season.

Regards

Jeremy Harris
President of Juniors Division
Hawthorn Hockey Club
